Daniel Herwitt is a visual artist working in the field of illustration and painting and has exhibited work nationally throughout the United States. Specializing in oil painting and illustration techniques, Daniel has developed a style rich in excessive detail. Daniel earned a B.F.A. from the Art Institute of Chicago and an M.F.A. from Yale University. He joined the Poly faculty full time in 2014 and teaches Upper School Foundations, Painting, Advanced Drawing, and AP Studio Art.
Alongside Daniel’s commitment to teaching, he is a professional freelance illustrator for clothing and bands like the Grateful Dead.
